Dark Elixir

Updated: 18 September 2026 · By the Goblins Farm team

Minions are fast, cheap flying attackers with very little health. They are the air equivalent of Archers: excellent value when something else is absorbing the damage, and gone in an instant when it is not.

What it does

Minions fly, attack at short range, and cost very little dark elixir. They have no preferred target, so they hit the nearest building, and they move quickly enough to cross a base in seconds.

Their hitpoints are extremely low. Any air-targeting splash defence removes a group of Minions almost instantly, which is the single fact that governs how they are used.

How to use it

Minions are support and clean-up, not a spearhead.

How to beat it

Air-targeting splash defences, positioned so they cover the approaches rather than only the core. Because Minions are fast, defences that need time to acquire targets get less value; because Minions are fragile, anything that lands an area hit gets a great deal.

Frequently asked

Are Minions good on their own?

No. Their hitpoints are too low to survive contact with air defences, so a pure Minion army evaporates. They perform well behind something durable, most commonly a Lava Hound, which absorbs the air defence fire while the Minions deal the damage.

Why do all my Minions die at once?

Because they were deployed in a stack within range of an air-targeting splash defence. Spread them along a line so a single area hit cannot remove the whole group.
