The Valkyrie deals splash damage in a circle around herself, so she is at her best standing between several buildings at once. Getting her into that position is the entire skill of using her.
What it does
Her attack damages everything in a circle around her rather than a single target, which means her damage output scales with how many buildings she is standing among. She is durable enough to survive in a compartment and fast enough to move between them.
She has no preferred target, so she attacks whatever is nearest, and that is exactly where her pathing quirk bites: a Valkyrie standing between two compartments may pick the target that pulls her away from the cluster you wanted her to clear.
How to use it
Get her inside, then let her work.
- Open a compartment for her. Wall Breakers or a Jump Spell first. A Valkyrie walking around the outside of a base is worth a fraction of one inside it.
- Use them in small groups so several compartments are being cleared at once and no single splash defence can hit them all.
- Rage inside the core. Her damage is already area-wide, so a damage boost while she stands among four buildings is exceptional value.
How to beat it
Splash damage that reaches into your compartments, and layouts that do not pack many buildings into a single cell. Because her value depends on standing among multiple structures, a base with genuinely separated compartments gives her far less to hit at once.
