Healer — Clash of Clans
Troops
Updated: 18 September 2026 · By the Goblins Farm team
The Healer does no damage at all. She follows ground troops and heals them, which turns a durable push into an almost unkillable one, right up until an Air Defence notices her.
What it does
Healers fly, target friendly ground troops, and restore their hitpoints continuously. They cannot heal air units and they cannot attack anything. Their entire contribution is keeping something else alive.
Because they are air units, every anti-air defence on the map is a hard counter, and because they cost a great deal of housing space, losing one early is a serious loss.
How to use it
The classic and still dominant use is pairing Healers with the Archer Queen, a combination durable enough to walk through a substantial portion of a base on its own. The technique, usually called a Queen walk, is to send the Queen in with a group of Healers behind her and let her clear a path slowly and safely, doing funnel work or killing a specific defence.
- Deploy Healers after the target is engaged, so they immediately have something to heal.
- Clear the anti-air on that side first, or accept that the Healers will die when they drift into range.
- Watch the drift. Healers follow their target, so if the Queen walks toward an Air Defence, so do they.
How to beat it
Air Defences positioned so that a ground push toward your core inevitably brings Healers into range. Because Healers do no damage, killing them does not just reduce incoming damage, it removes the sustain that the entire attack was built on, and the push usually collapses immediately afterwards.

Frequently asked
Can Healers heal air troops?
No. Healers can only heal ground troops, which is why they pair with the Archer Queen and ground-based pushes rather than with Dragons or Balloons.
What is a Queen walk?
Sending the Archer Queen into a base with several Healers supporting her, so she survives long enough to clear a path, create a funnel or destroy a specific defence before the main army goes in. It is one of the most reliable attack openers in the game.
