Druid — Clash of Clans
Troops
Updated: 18 September 2026 · By the Goblins Farm team
The Druid is a hybrid: it supports nearby troops with healing and shifts into a stronger attacking form, which makes it both sustain and damage in a single housing cost.
What it does
It heals nearby friendly troops in one state and transforms into a more aggressive form in another, so a single unit provides both sustain and damage across an attack. That dual role makes it awkward to counter, since removing it costs you both.
Note that the stored damage value for the healing state reads as negative in extracted game data, because a heal is modelled as negative damage. That is a data artefact, not a bug in the game.
How to use it
Treat it as sustain that also fights.
- Keep it with the group. Its healing only helps troops near it, so a Druid trailing behind the push contributes nothing.
- Protect it early. Its value compounds over the attack, so losing one in the first ten seconds is worse than losing an ordinary troop.
- Reduce your spell load. A Druid providing sustain may let you carry a utility spell instead of a heal.
How to beat it
Splash damage reaching the middle of an attacking group, since the Druid must stay near the troops it supports. Removing sustain early causes the rest of the push to collapse against defences it would otherwise have survived.

Frequently asked
Why does the Druid show negative damage in stat tables?
Because healing is stored as negative damage in the extracted game data. The figure represents the heal rate rather than damage dealt, which is the same convention the Healer's data uses.
Is the Druid a healer or an attacker?
Both, in different states. It supports nearby troops with healing and shifts into a stronger attacking form, which is what makes it unusually efficient for its housing space and unusually costly to lose early.
