Clone Spell — Clash of Clans

Spells

Elixir

Updated: 18 September 2026 · By the Goblins Farm team

Clone creates temporary duplicates of friendly troops that enter its circle, up to a housing space limit. The copies are short-lived, so the spell is about creating a burst of damage at a specific moment rather than doubling your army.

What it does

Troops entering the radius are duplicated until the spell's capacity is used up. The clones expire after a short time, so they are a spike rather than a reinforcement.

Because capacity is measured in housing space, cloning a few expensive units produces very few copies, while cloning cheap units produces many. That is the main strategic decision.

Frequently asked

How does the Clone Spell work?

It duplicates friendly troops that walk into its radius, up to a housing space capacity, and the copies expire after a short time. It creates a burst of damage at a chosen point rather than permanently adding to your army.

What should I clone?

Medium-cost damage troops, because capacity is measured in housing space, so cheap units produce more copies while expensive ones produce very few. Cloning tanks is poor value since the copies expire before they finish absorbing much.
