Builder Base: The Second Village
Mechanics
Updated: 18 September 2026 · By the Goblins Farm team
The Builder Base is a parallel game. It has its own resources, its own troops, its own attack mode and its own progression, and it feeds back into the main village through the rewards it produces. Many players ignore it, which is a mistake, because it is the least demanding source of steady progress in the game.
How versus battles differ
Versus battles are not raids. You and an opponent attack the same layout, and the better result wins. The differences from main village attacking are substantial:
- You are not stealing. There is no loot on the defender's base to take. Rewards come from winning, not from what you destroy.
- Troops are automatic between waves. The Builder Base has its own troop roster with its own behaviours and its own deployment rhythm.
- Both sides see the same base. It is a comparison, not a raid, so a marginal result is only bad if your opponent did better.
- Attacks are limited per day for full rewards. This is the important one economically, and it shapes how you should play.
The daily rhythm
Because full rewards come from a limited number of attacks per day, the Builder Base rewards consistency over volume. A player who takes their handful of attacks every day progresses steadily; a player who does thirty attacks on Saturday and none all week gets far less for far more effort.
The efficient routine is short:
- Log in, collect the mines and the Gem Mine.
- Take your rewarded attacks, in one sitting, with whatever army you have researched.
- Start upgrades with everything you earned.
- Close the game.
Five minutes a day, and over a month it is a meaningful amount of progress that costs you almost no attention. If you want that loop run for you, that is exactly what a Builder Base bot does.
What it gives the main village
The Builder Base is not a closed system. Progress there unlocks rewards that matter on the main village, most notably additional building capacity and various items and boosts that feed main village progress. That is the real argument for taking it seriously: it is not a side game, it is a second income stream for the village you actually care about.
The practical implication for upgrade order is that Builder Hall progression is worth prioritising early, because the rewards it unlocks compound over the entire rest of your account's life. A player who reaches those milestones in month two benefits from them for years.
Frequently asked
Can I move resources between the Builder Base and my main village?
No. The two villages have entirely separate economies, and Builder Base gold and elixir can only be spent on Builder Base upgrades. The connection between them is through the rewards and unlocks that Builder Hall progression grants to the main village.
Is the Builder Base worth playing?
Yes, mainly because of what it unlocks for the main village, including additional building capacity. It also asks very little: a handful of rewarded attacks a day, taken consistently, produces steady progress for around five minutes of attention.
How many versus battles should I do per day?
Enough to claim the full daily rewards, and consistency matters far more than volume. Attacks beyond the rewarded ones give much less, so a short daily session beats a long weekend one.
