Town Hall 18: Upgrade Order, Priorities and Common Mistakes

Town Halls

TH18

Updated: 18 September 2026 · By the Goblins Farm team

Town Hall 18 is the highest level in the game. It costs 25,000,000 gold and twelve days, carries 10,800 hitpoints, and raises your storages to five million gold and elixir. It unlocks two new defences, and past that it is a level about finishing things rather than starting them.

What changes at this level

The headline numbers first. The upgrade is 25,000,000 gold over twelve days, the Town Hall itself has 10,800 hitpoints, and your storages rise to five million gold and elixir and 50,000 dark elixir.

Two defences unlock. The Super Wizard Tower is built by merging two Wizard Towers, trading two defensive footprints for one that hits far harder over a short 8 tile radius. The Revenge Tower lists low damage over long range, a combination that points at a special behaviour rather than raw output.

The other change is economic and easy to miss: the attack search fee rises to 1,700 gold. Since troops cost nothing to train, that fee and your time are now literally the only things an attack spends, which makes skip discipline the whole of farming efficiency at this level.

Upgrade order

The framework does not change at the top, it just gets slower. Keep the laboratory running, keep a hero upgrading, keep every builder busy. Within that:

The reasoning is in upgrade priority.

Mistakes that cost you weeks here

Merging Wizard Towers without checking coverage. The Super Wizard Tower removes a building from your base. If your two Wizard Towers are currently the only splash cover on separate sides, merging them opens a side. Tap both and look at what their circles cover before you commit.

Spreading dark elixir across every hero at once. Six heroes and one income stream means finishing nothing. Stagger them.

Farming without a loot minimum. At 1,700 gold per search and multi-million upgrade costs, attacks that return less than a rounding error are a genuine waste of the only two things you spend.

Reading the tables below

The loot table shows what an attacker can take from a Town Hall 18 village: 14 per cent of your gold and elixir storages, capped at 1,750,000 per attack, and 5 per cent of dark elixir capped at 10,100. Those caps are why spending down before you log off still matters at the top of the game, and why an attacker who scouts empty storages presses next.

How available loot is calculated in general is covered in loot mechanics.

Frequently asked

How much does Town Hall 18 cost?

25,000,000 gold and twelve days to upgrade. The Town Hall itself has 10,800 hitpoints and raises storage capacity to five million gold and elixir, and 50,000 dark elixir.

What unlocks at Town Hall 18?

Two defences: the Super Wizard Tower, created by merging two Wizard Towers, and the Revenge Tower. The attack search fee also rises to 1,700 gold, which alongside your time is now the only thing an attack costs, since troops are free to train.

How much loot can be stolen from a Town Hall 18 base?

14 per cent of your gold and elixir storages, capped at 1,750,000 per attack, and 5 per cent of your dark elixir capped at 10,100. Committing resources to upgrades before logging off remains the most effective defence, because loot in an upgrade cannot be taken.
